Taking a Family Photo

Taking a family picture does not just happen (at least in our family anyways).  Sometimes there is weeks of planning that go into pulling it all together.  Lining up a photographer, coordinating the outfits, planning around everyone`s schedule and oh yeah getting everybody to sit still.

As we look back at our other family photos over the years we can now laugh at those moments where someone was crying, trying to run away or the day before getting hurt and having the scar to show.  However as we began getting ready for this particular family photograph we found the actual picture taking process quite fast and easy.  I mean, it was over in less than five minutes ( a record for us ).  Sometimes in life you cannot simply know how things will turn out.  So it is with Following God`s leading.  We want to Thank You for all of your words of encouragement and prayers.

As we begin this process and begin raising our support we want to share with you some of the details of how we will be ministering with Saints Equipped to Evangelize.....

We are Thankful that we will still be able to call Prince Edward Island our Home.

We will be sharing the ministries of S.E.E. with churches, schools, camps, conferences and individuals both in Canada and in the US.

We will be a voice of encouragement to anyone responding to how God may be preparing their hearts for  future ministry opportunities such as mission trips or church planting with S.E.E.

As a recruiter we will be helping current and future Saint`s Bible Institute students prepare for and complete their time at SBI.

Above all, we will be serving alongside of the other Missionaries and Staff of Saints Equipped to Evangelize to spread the Good News of the Gospel.

A missionary once shared with me ``Much Prayer - Much Power,,, Little Prayer - Little Power``.  So,,,, please share with us how we can be praying for you and as a family, please know that we would greatly appreciate your prayers as we share the Good News of the Gospel through the ministry of S.E.E.

A weekend of Blessings

It's hard to believe that 11 years ago Effie and her Mom were buying the Turkey for a Canadian Thanksgiving Dinner, when instead we received this Happy Bundle of Joy.  Happy Birthday to a very thoughtful and giving daughter.  We Love You Penelope!

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!  We could not be more Thankful for the blessings we have in our lives!

Wow, We Did It  !!!

It’s hard to believe that we have laid everything at God’s feet.  As most of you know we have had a bit of a roller coaster ride over the past few years.  After all, how many families can say that they have hit a moose and have walked away unscratched.

It was on that frightful night, on a lonely Maine Interstate Highway, that our families lives directions were changed forever.  We were doing what we thought was a good fit for our family, serving in a church down south. However we have come to find out that sometimes the direction we feel is where we should be is not necessarily the plans the Lord has for us. So we finished our time at the church we were serving with, put our belongings into storage and decided at this time, the best thing we could do was to take our family to PEI to visit family and see what our next steps would be.  Little did we know a Moose was God’s way of showing us! We remember the moment after we hit the moose, Effie frantically turning around to the kids and saying we need to thank The Lord that we are OK. However, now looking back at that dark night we think we were thanking God for more than just safety.  Instead, we think we were thanking Him for a new direction for our family! We can tell you first hand, the past two years have been challenging but we have really seen God’s faithfulness and the importance of Trusting Him. During a moment of being homeless, jobless and vehicle less we would never have imagined that our family would be stepping out in faith to be full time missionaries!  I can’t tell you though, how excited and filled we feel as we embark on this adventure! So, we are happy to share with you that WE have accepted a missionary call to a position with Saints Equipped to Evangelize.  (www.saintsequipped.org)

S.E.E.  is a Mission organization that serves the people of Italy through many different avenues such as church planting, hosting mission teams and providing students an opportunity to study the Bible and Missions at a Fully Accredited Bible Institute located in Italy.  As we begin this journey of fully relying on God to provide for the ministry needs we would covet your prayers and support! We are very excited to see where these new steps will take us!
